PLUS Communications is a Beltway-based consulting firm specializing in coalition building, grassroots mobilization, advertising, digital engagement, message development and media relations. Distinguished for our campaign-style approach to issue-based efforts, we bring a results-oriented mindset to every project: You either win or lose. Period.

PLUS Communications was founded in 2011 by three of the nation’s top political and public affairs strategists after working together on dozens of hard-fought campaigns. Today, the firm employs more than 150 professionals, including 14 partners with unrivaled experience representing Fortune 100 companies, trade associations and non-profit organizations across a host of industries.

PLUS Communications has received many of the highest accolades in the communications industry, including PRWeek Awards, Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards and Reed Awards.

In 2018, PLUS Communications was recognized by PRWeek when we were awarded the “Best in Public Affairs” award for our campaign on behalf of FWD.us that resulted in major reforms to Louisiana’s criminal justice system and the “Best for a Cause” award for of our work with the National Sikh Campaign to clear misconceptions and biases about the religion. Additionally, our work for immigration reform with FWD.us was also lauded by the Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards for “Best in Public Affairs.”

In 2016, PLUS Communications scored two major victories at the federal level for the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) and Charter Communications. Working with GMA, we secured the passage of a food-labelling law that was one of the only stand-alone pieces of legislation passed by a Republican Congress and signed by then President Obama. For Charter Communications, we managed a major grassroots campaign that resulted in regulatory approval for their merger with Time Warner Cable and acquisition of Bright House Networks. For our work on behalf of Charter and GMA, PLUS Communications secured Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards for Best in Telecommunications and Best in Public Affairs, respectively. In addition, these campaigns scored two out of the five national nominations for PRWeek’s “Best Public Affairs Campaign” category.

All companies have a responsibility to give back to their community. PLUS Communications takes that responsibility seriously. We’re proud of our pro bono work for a variety of great causes.

While we have come a long way since our founding with three partners and a small handful of employees, our commitment to every client – regardless of size – remains the same. If you believe PLUS Communications could help your organization, we would love to hear from you.
