Sam Taylor is a senior director at the PLUS Communications where he works on a variety of Texas and national client accounts, specializing in media outreach, legislative advocacy, coalition building, and strategic communications. Prior to joining PLUS, Sam served as head of communications for four Texas Secretaries of State, a communications director on Capitol Hill, and Deputy Press Secretary for the Governor of Texas. In these roles, Sam developed extensive communications expertise around election policy, public diplomacy, trade, economic development, and international relations.

Originally from Friendswood, TX, Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University before going on to earn a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. Sam currently lives in Austin, TX.
