December 18, 2023

ARLINGTON, VA – PLUS Communications, one of the nation’s leading public affairs, media and digital firms, today announced that Glenn Oppel, former policy director for Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, has joined the firm as a partner in its award-winning public affairs practice where he will lead issue advocacy, grassroots, and government affairs efforts in the Treasure State. Oppel will open PLUS Communications’ most recent office in Helena, adding to its existing headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, and regional offices in Richmond, Virginia, and Austin, Texas.

PLUS was acquired in September 2023 by Omnicom PR Group (OPRG), which boasts the world’s largest global network of communications and consulting agencies. The Arlington-based firm employs over 200 professionals, including 20 partners with unrivaled experience representing multinational corporations, trade associations, and non-profit organizations across various industries.

“The addition of Glenn and his leadership at our new Helena office will allow PLUS to continue expanding its footprint in key states around the country and continue years of record growth – marking another significant milestone for the firm,” said PLUS managing partner Danny Diaz.

In his role, Oppel will also oversee PLUS’ award-winning services in the Treasure State. Businesses, organizations, and trade associations increasingly want to communicate directly with state and local leaders, given that public opinion is shaped in states and local communities nationwide. The firm’s on-the-ground engagement via local and state bipartisan communications and political professionals, coupled with its work at the forefront of the digital space, allows its team to effectively inform and mobilize strategic voices.

“I am pleased to be joining a nationally recognized firm with some of the best and brightest minds in public affairs,” remarked Oppel. “My focus will be on expanding PLUS’ presence in Montana to win the tough fights in Big Sky Country.”

Before serving in the Office of Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, Glenn represented a diverse array of clients as vice president of government affairs with the Helena office of Strategies 360, a firm specializing in government affairs, public affairs, and communications. Glenn also has a depth of experience in the Montana business community, serving in government relations roles for some of the state’s premier business organizations, including the Montana Chamber of Commerce and the Montana Association of Realtors. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Montana in Missoula.

PLUS Communications has received many of the highest accolades in the communications industry, including PRWeek’s Best in Public Affairs, Best in Crisis, and Best for a Cause awards, in addition to being named a finalist for “Outstanding Midsize Agency.” To learn more about PLUS Communications, visit PlusPR.com.
