Karla joins PLUS Communications after serving as a Client Strategy Manager at Apex Strategies, where she helped manage Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s online digital fundraising operation. Prior to that, she was a Manager in the Public Affairs division at Woodberry Associates and began her career as a Digital Political Copywriter at the Republican National Committee.

Karla is from the Texas border town of Del Rio and is a double alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her B.A. in Government and a Master of Public Affairs.

What you may not know about Karla…

Karla comes from a family of bird-watchers…a trait she has yet to adopt herself! Instead, her interests involve a 120-yard football field, an 18-hole golf course, and a spicy mezcal margarita.
